  • Championship Golf Links at Ballyconneely - 9km
  • Head north (12km) to Claddaghduff and, with the tide out, walk across the golden sands to beautiful Omey Island and bring a picnic
  • Taking the ferry from Cleggan (12km), make a day's visit to Inishbofin - a treat not to be missed
  • The thriving city of Galway and the traditional market town of Westport are each only an hour's drive
  • Clifden boasts excellent seafood restaurants and traditional Irish pubs, many of which have music and entertainment at night
  • There is a mecca of shops, cafés, art and antique galleries, beauty and therapy centres and more, in the cosmopolitan town of Clifden
