Gleann Fia Country House is a purpose-built
Victorian style country guesthouse. Idyllically
situated at the edge of a wooded river valley
traditionally known as the Fairy Glen, our house is
a welcome retreat after a busy day of travelling or
touring. Visitors to Gleann Fia are surprised and
delighted to find such a peaceful setting, within 1
mile of Killarney.
Our house is built specifically with the guest's
comfort in mind.
Accommodation
- All rooms en-suite, some with bath and range
from average to very large in size.
- Rooms tastefully decorated, furnished with
antiques
- Direct dial telephones, colour TV, hairdryer
and clock radio in all rooms.
- Pleasant views of the surrounding
countryside.
Our natural 3.5 acre garden contains many wild
flowers throughout the year and is equally splendid
when Autumn sets in. The garden is bordered by the
river Deenach which eventually flows through
Killarney town and National park. A path (lit by
night) leads along the riverbank and woodlands of
the house.
On arrival you will be warmly welcomed, and
after settling into your rooms we will be happy to
discuss your itinery and reserve dinner for you in
one of the many quality restaurants found in
Killarney today.
Breakfast
At breakfast you have the choice of sitting in
the conservatory or by the glowing fireside. For
breakfast, we endeavour to suit all tastes with
main courses varying from full breakfast to a fresh
fruit and yogurt dish or cheese platter. This is
accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice,
choice of cereals, freshly ground coffee, health
bread and home-made preserves.

Location
Our country house is open year round to guests
travelling to visit the wonderful sights of County
Kerry known to us locals as "The Kingdom". We are
located 1 mile from the busy town of Killarney and
yet idyllically situated at the edge of a wooded
river valley known as "The Fairy Glen".
Our location is ideal for a based holiday ,
touring the scenic sights of Kerry , playing golf
on world renowned championship golf courses and
links , fishing and hill walking in this most
beautiful part of Ireland.
