Hazel Grove B&B is situated in a peaceful
unspoilt countryside, nestled between two of the
finest fishing lakes in Ireland - Lough Corrib
& Lough Mask and the Maam Turk & Connemara
mountains. The surrounding area is a beautiful
mixture of rolling green hills,
limestone landscape and woodlands, with its
wide variety of flora and fauna, waiting to be
explored, or enjoyed while relaxing in our large
landscaped garden with panoramic views.
The historic village of Cong, is only three
minutes drive from our B&B. Visit the Cong
Abbey, founded in the year 628 A.D. and "Ashford
Castle Hotel" overlooking Lough Corrib lake, and
islands with its magnificent gardens and forest.
The famous "Quiet Man" movie was filmed
in Cong in 1951. You can visit the Quiet Man
Museum and many of the film locations. Take a
peaceful walk in the forest by the rivers and lake,
and enjoy the wildlife.
We are conveniently located for hill-walking and
mountain climbing, with a magnificent view of the
Lakes and a wonderful variety of wild flowers and
shrubs.

Location
Hazel Grove is nestled between two great fishing
lakes Lough Mask and Lough Corrib, Ireland's second
largest lake, and on the edge of Connemara, one of
the most beautiful areas in Ireland. Immortalised
in such epic films as The Quiet Man, The Purple
Taxi and The Field, Connemara is "A magnificent
beauty" and one of the most romantic places in the
world.
Using Hazel Grove as a base, visit the wonderful
towns of Westport, Clifden, Leenane or Galway.
We can advise you of places to visit, organise a
Cruise on Lough Corrib Lake and a visit to the
historic Inchagoill Island. Cong is a fishing
paradise, if you wish to go fishing, we will
organise a boat and a gillie for hire. We can also
help you organise bike hire, horse riding, golf,
clay pigeon shooting, falconry and any other
activities you wish.
