Mobile-Homes Self-Catering Accommodation and
Angling on the shores of Lough Mask in the West of
Ireland
Lough Mask Mobile-Homes are situated in quiet
wooded surroundings on our farm on the Shores of
Lough Mask. This natural rural self-catering
accommodation is the perfect place to unwind and
relax. Admire the wildlife and beautiful lakeside
ponds. Go for an early morning walk or evening
stroll along the many lakeside pathways and enjoy
the fresh unpolluted air.
Adjoining our farm are our Islands
"Carrigeenanore & Seerilaun" a hazel &
birch woodland, they are an excellent wildlife
area. Stretching 3 km in length and a pathway
running along the centre it is a haven of peace and
tranquillity, a great attraction for early morning
walks and Shore fishing.
Accommodation
Our Mobile-Homes are situated to give privacy to
our customers, 4 are situated individually.
Each Mobile-home consists of:
- 1 double bedroom
- 1 room with 2 single beds
- Shower room with hand basin and toilet
- Large lounge, TV, fully fitted kitchen with
gas cooker, fridge, crockery and cooking
utensils. Instant hot water.
We also supply you with quilts, pillows, linen
and your first cylinder of gas and electricity.
Charcoal Barbecue and picnic bench. Each Holiday
Home has it's own garden shed and a deep freezer is
available for your use.
Location
Situated 6Km from the town of Ballinrobe our
customers can be assured that all their needs are
catered for. The shops offer a wide choice at
reasonable prices, restaurants offer fine food and
pubs with music and dancing.
- We are within easy reach of Westport,
Castlebar, Achill, Galway, Connemara, Knock
International airport, Galway Airport.
- Small villages around the lake include
Clonbur, Finny, Cong, Partry and
Tourmakeady.
- Lough Corrib, Lough Carra and the Moy river
famous for it's salmon.
- There is an excellent 18 hole golf course
and if you fancy a day at the races there are 5
meetings per year at our fine race course.
- Visit Cong "The Quiet Man village" or
Ashford castle also Leenane the location of the
film "The Field"
Angling at Lough Mask
Mobile-homes
Staying at Lough Mask Mobile-Homes is the ideal
accommodation for any angler. Situated on the
shores of Lively bay and Golden bay you are
guaranteed good fishing.
- If you want bank fishing, whether spinning
or fly fishing, wet fly, or dry fly fishing
there are literally miles of it just yards from
the door of your accommodation.
- Boats are available for fishing at a very
reasonable cost..
- A garden shed is situated at each holiday
home for holding fishing tackle and wet gear. A
deep freezer is also available for your
use.
- Lough Mask has an excellent stock of
beautiful Brown Trout averaging in weight 1lb up
to 6lbs. It also holds Pike and Perch. If you
are interested in fishing on Lough Mask fishing
is free, there are no permits needed.
- Lough Mask is renowned for it's Wet Fly
fishing, which extends for most of the
season.
